He goes on to give me a $# for out of warranty service, and to suggest
I buy a newer faster cdrom for just a bit more $.
So, I did as he instructed, with great trepidation, and found that
nothing made any difference. So, it's off to Fry's for me, I guess.
I'm this far into the bowels of my system, shall I just remove the
drive and take in to the shop, and then install the new one myself?
If I do that, I'll be depending on this list to help me survive it! You
guys were right with the diagnosis. Thanks!
