I didn't do the network setup disk, but I will. Did the sharing thing.

Did you run the network setup disk made on the XP machine when prompted
near the finish, on the 2nd, win 98 machine? It is necessary to do that, so
Win 98 "knows" about Win XP. Remember XP came out after 98. It knows 98 is
out there but 98, thinks there is nothing better than itself.
Did you change the properties (right click on drive icon) of the drives and
enable the sharing (have the little hand showing underneath the icons of
the drives you want on the network)?
