 This may be true, but eating a small portion of 70% or higher chocolate is
not the same thing as eating pure sucrose.  You are also getting beneficial
fat, some protein and fiber plus tons of antioxidants.

Speaking of glycemic index:
70% dark chocolate has a glycemic index of 22
Cherries: 23
Peaches 30
Plums 25
