Bryan,
Yes, I had ear problems from milk products, as I said in my posting from
1/28/03. My ear problems lasted about three years. Finally, when I went on a
complete dairy free diet, all the problems cleared up. However, I have no
idea if it was due to lactose or milk proteins.
My ear problems ranged from a deep ache to swelling inside or outside the
ear, or just sensitive if the ear lobe was touched. My left ear was usually
red and sometimes swollen upon waking in the morning. For the most part one
ear was involved with an occasional ache in the right side during the night.
The ear specialist attributed this to rheumatism, since he had no clue as to
my problem.
I can now usually tell as soon as I eat something with milk in it, as my
left ear will begin to hurt slightly.

I also want to thank all of you who responded to my posting! As time
allows, I'll go thru each of the web sites you mentioned very carefully.
Thanks!

Judith
