Dunno about the Georgia State tax laws, but can tell you as far as the Feds
are concerned, if you receive long term disability benefits, you only pay tax
on the portion you didn't put in.

For example, I pay the entire cost of LTD premiums so if I should have to go
out on LTD, I won't pay any Federal income tax because I paid all the premiums
at 100%

But if my company paid 80% of the premium costs and I paid 20% I would have to
pay income tax on 80% of the income.
