Depends what you're doing. For everyday use, probably not. Maybe for heavy
online gaming or video editing you will. If you do a benchmark you will see
a difference. It uses CPU cycles where a real soundcard would not.

Hi on the list, I want to know if there is a noticible or mesuable
improvment in perfomance by disableing AC 97 and installing a sound card.
Wheras I have a SB card in a old computer not in use and I don't use the
