Hello all,
For some time, I've been running an Epox 8KTA3PRO with a AMD T-bird 1000
with a FSB of 200. Rock steady. Running 256MB of Crucial 133 RAM.
I flashed the BIOS months ago to the new 02/05/02 version. The AMD tabular
data says this board should run the Athlon 2000+.
When I install this new OEM Athlon 2000 CPU, the computer won't even POST.
All the drive lights (DVD, CD, Burner) come on and stay on. The hard drive
never engages. It shouldn't matter if I leave the CPU Host Clock Select
jumper at 100MHz, It should still POST, right?
TIA,
Raimund Hornung
