As far as I know, my ancestry was not landlocket. Fish was, and hopefully
still is (I haven't been in Estonia for 16 years) an integral part of the
Estonian diet. Fishing, preparation of fish and consumtion of fish, always
surrounded me as a child in Estonia. The funny thing is that my mother and
my two brothers all three like salt on their meat, fish and poultry, and
seemingly can't do without it, whereas I like my meat plain and simple. I
don't know why. Maybe my body can circulate salt better?
