also, last year over almost 50 percent of the canola grown in canada is
genetically enginered.,and it is expanding
even organic brands recognise they are going to get contaminated by the
pollen of those crops and could not guarantee they will be gmo free.
Canola is the name promoted by canada to erase the bad reputation rape seed
had ( accidents have been recorded in history because of the high level of
toxins in it . By selection they managed to reduced drastically the amount
of the acid that caused problems but if you go with ray's audette idea
about what make a food paleo or not ( being able to eat it in its raw
state ) it is not a very edible plant to start with.
And recommending canola oil from cordain's side goes with his lack of a firm
stand against the way farms animals are raised .( because we have omega 3's
available in canola why bother asking for grass fed meats, "just remove the
fats of your store bought meats and poor canola oils instead" ).
By asking exclusivelly for grass fed animals and being willing to pay for
the true cost of raising animals rightly , i insure you that this kind of
meats will become available very quickly.
By the way if you live in vancouver ( BC) aera, i have a quarter of fresh
gras fed highland cattle beef available right now .( i had to buy a whole
animal to be able to have a supply of grass fed meats but can't deal with
all of it so resale a part ).
