This is Part 2 of Part 1 - because my original Part 1 was too long I wasn't allowed to send it!
I still have more on this subject to summarise to the list and I will do it as soon as I get time.

"> Lactose is a sugar present in milk. People who are lactose intolerant lack

"Not an answer to your question but a comment... Some Celiacs (like myself)
who had trouble with dairy products, no longer have this trouble once on the
GF diet.
Once you've been GF for a while, you might try milk again to see if you
still have a reaction."

"If I were you, I'd do a websearch for this information. You'll probably
get a much better explanation there than anyone can give you otherwise. "

"Lactose is a sugar and casein is a protein.

"> The simple answer to your question about the difference between lactose and
> casein is:
>
> lactose is milk sugar
> casein is milk protein
>
> Casein is very similar in construction to the proteins that are called
> "gluten." That is probably why some celiacs can be damaged by dairy as

> cause Leaky Gut Syndrome, with serious health consequences.

> Most human adults, especially those that are descended from ancestors that

> though, it is usually to the protein in it. Lactaid will not change that."
