GLUTEN-FREE DIET: A COMPREHENSIVE RESOURCE GUIDE - REVISED 2002 EDITION
continues to receive great reviews from people with gluten intolerance,
dietitians, gastroenterologists, celiac support groups and the media!

LIVING WITHOUT FALL 2002 ISSUE
"Shelley Case, a registered professional dietitian and noted expert on
nutrition for celiacs, serves up a winner with this terrific guide to
gluten-free life. People living with celiac disease will find a wealth
of information in this newly revised, comprehensive book. It contains
the latest resources, including an exhaustively researched list of more
than 1600 name brand gluten-free products and a directory of over 130
manufacturers and distributors. Sections on the nutritional aspects of
living gluten-free, cooking tips, meal planning and sample recipes round
out the book and are a real plus".

Reviewer: Mark A. Dinga from Pittsburgh, PA
Having been diagnosed with celiac disease 2 years ago and practicing as
a Registered Dietitian for the past 21 years, I know the importance of
professional-looking, detailed, and accurate information. Shelley's book
accomplishes this and much more-it is a comprehensive resource for
gluten-free living. I wouldn't counsel a newly diagnosed sprue patient
and not use this book as a primary resource. I recommend Shelley's book
to people with celiac disease and Registered Dietitian's/health
professionals/physicians working with sprue patients.

Reviewer: A reader from Regina, SK Canada
This practical common sense book is ideal for individuals who suffer
from Celiac disease (about 1 in every 200) and for the nutritionists and
medical professionals who help them. As one of the leading experts in
Celiac disease, Case has worked with thousands of people with Gluten
intolerance. Now her research and expertise can help individuals,
families and health professionals around the world.
There are listings for over 130 North American and international
companies specializing in gluten-free products. Over 1600 specialty
foods are listed by company and product name. There is very helpful
information about gluten-free meal planning, shopping guidelines,
recipes, creative snack ideas, baking tips. Detailed nutrition
information and gluten-free resource listings (cookbooks, web sites,
magazines) also provide vital information.
The subtitle reads "A Comprehensive Resource Guide". Case's remarkable
research and attention to detail makes this the leading gluten-free
resource on the market today.

Reviewer: Lani K. Thompson, Editor Clan Thompson Celiac Newsletter from
Stoneham, ME
Shelley Case's Resource Guide is stuffed with practical information and
helpful hints and I know, based on my own experience, that I can trust
her research! I consult her book frequently in my own work, and I've
learned more about the gluten free diet from it than I have from any
other single resource. If I had to recommend just one book to celiacs,
this is the one I would choose!
