I noticed that many places such as McDonald's and Wendy's state that their burgers are GF.  I have never attempted to eat them because I'm not sure how to approach asking for a patty without a bun that hasn't been contaminated.  Do you generally ask for anything specific or do you just ask for a burger with no bun?  Do they cook the buns on the grill to warm them?  Just curious!
