 Hello gentle people,

BCCC has started using blackboard/webCT, CE6 this semester. I'm
seeing/hearing a lot of issues with blind students using jaws accessing CE6.
It often doesn't read anything on the page, or only parts of the page. I've
also noticed that when a pop up window opens and it is closed that the
window behind it is no longer active so jaws gives no feedback at all. The
users don't know what's happening on screen and think that they've been
logged out or are somehow out of CE6.

I've also noticed that the browser tuneup page takes you through a very
complicated way of setting your browser and finding and installing necessary
components i.e. Java etc. This makes it very difficult to be sure that
students who are taking distance learning courses have their computers set
up in the correct manner. Does anyone have any input on this matter?

Has anyone had any experience using jaws with CE 6 yet? Can anyone guide me
to any information on using CE 6 with jaws?

Thanks in advance. Penny
