Dear Listmates,

I have been having many sleepless nights lately because of a skin problem, and I'm wondering if those of you with DH or lupus as well as CD might help me to puzzle this out. I am having stinging, stabbing pains under my skin, and have tiny, sensitive bumps underneath, which my doctor says are little lipomas. There are also very tiny raised bumps on my skin that sting like crazy, but are almost invisible. Sometimes they become more inflamed and get red. I have looked at the websites that show DH rashes and lupus-related rashes, and it does not look like what I see there. Could this be the early stages of one of those conditions? Was the onset of your rashes gradual? Neither my general practitioner or rheumatologist seemed to have any idea what the bumps are about. Baking soda baths seem to help the stinging on the external bumps, but not the stuff underneath the skin. I'd be grateful for any help or insight.
