A local natural health care provider will discuss other foods that can
cause symptoms similar to celiac disease at the 2nd Anniversary
Celebration of the Jackson Area Celiac Support Group.
Dr. Kelley Pickard, a naturopath, also will address ways to overcome
the multiple sensitivities those with chronic illnesses often face.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 3, in the private
dining room inside the cafeteria at Methodist Lebonheur Healthcare-
Jackson Hospital.
Group meetings are usually held at 6 p.m. the first Thursday of
every month. They are open to anyone who may benefit from a
wheat-free gluten-free diet, including but not limited to those
with other digestive problems, autism, wheat allergy, ADHD, yeast
problems, or fibromyalgia. Friends and relatives who want to learn
also are welcome. Please bring the recipe or ingredients list with any
food you may want to share.
For more information call 668-7468, 661-9589, or 661-2179.
