Sigh. My work schedule allows me to take in some chick TV -- in this case,
The View. Kate Jackson was on to talk about her latest role in which she
plays a smart woman. W-o-o-o-o-o-w. Ennyhoo, the hosts then pointed out
that she's the spokesperson for the American Heart Association. "It comes
down to what's in your fridge," she said. Examples? Fatty meat (okay, I
can see that point) followed by two others that seriously grated on my
nerves. "Do you have butter and not a margarine spray? Or what about ice
cream instead of sherbet?" Puh-leeze. Help yourself to chemicals and
frozen sugar water (which most likely ALSO contains plenty of chemical
'goodness') but heaven forfend you eat au naturel. Gimme a friggin' break!
