Even if you scrape the skins for fat you still don't get enough fat from
rabbits IMHO to prevent rabbit starvation.
Even though I have read a lot of the research I am still not sure what the
cause is.  I believe fat OR carbohydrate will relieve the problem.  If you
have no carbohydrate then you will need fat in order to utilise the
protein?? Still not sure of the exact reason but these references may help
