it works if you are willing and more often forced to surrender to an higher
power than own will.

it is certainly a mistake to not work also on the physical level , at least
people should know about the tools that helped others and even if AA as a
whole doesn't officially recommend and advice ( as it will be against the
principals of functionment of the organisation ) peoples share their
experience individually and so this kind of information should come thru .
i have been to meetings of overeaters anonymous and it was the same problem
.i saw peoples struggling with their will when a simple information like the
inadaptation of humans to high carbonhydrate diet could help so tremendously
. i shared my experience in that , now unless you follow the 12 steps
program no informations do the job , it is still dependant on the surrender
to an higher power .
for peoples who are not ready to that, i defy you to convince them to try a
biochemical approach either.
i have been dealing for years with informations that could change the face
of the world and yet been able to convince anybody to try new ways .
so both approachs are in no way contradictory they are complementary .
for the simple reason there is no separation between the levels of
experiences ( physical ,emotional or spiritual )
in fact health will depend on harmonisation between the levels .
