Dr. Kelley's methods involve metabolic typing -- therefore, a paleo type diet
would only be appropriate for certain metabolic types. The metabolic typing
theory also recognizes that a person's metabolic type may change during
illness. Your friend's son does not have much time. Therefore, I would urge
you not to mess around with reading this or that book, rather, I believe that
your friend should immediately consult with a complementary/alternative
physician who has dealt with last stage brain cancer in the past and get
guidance for a protocol. This is simply too dangerous a situation to try a
do it yourself type program. I also would not be so fixated on a particular
program being paleo or not -- your friend's son needs much more than a diet
switch at this point. He needs professional guidance ASAP.
