I was a pretty good teenager. I just suffered a lot at PMS time when my
problems (of not having a boyfriend) grew out of proportion. Luckily my dad was
up at night and we would eat ice cream together.
Recently I learned he has had depression all his life. From the age of ten
when a cousin was left in his care while the adults went away to play cards, the
7 year old had pneumonia and died the next day, and dad blamed himself for
not knowing to call the doctor. Then when I was 8, his son from his first
marriage went and killed himself. So he has had much sorrow, and me to worry about.
