Controlling pain can help in controlling blood pressure. I don't have CP
but, I do have IBS and attacks of Ileitis (excuse my morning spelling). I
find when they act up and I'm in pain my blood pressure shoots up. I tell
my docs that's how they can tell I'm telling the truth. Normally, my blood
pressure is average.
Somewhere I know I've read of a correlation between CP and heart disease.

Hi,

I find that magnesium has been working for the headaches related to my
elevated bp. As a consequence the bp and heart rhythym are back in line. I
take 400mg bid on approval of my cardiologist and rehab doc.

Cheers!

Carla

I don't mind being me at age 50, either; it's just that I wish my
hypertension wasn't so hard to control. It seems to be resistant to a lot
of meds and it's been a merry-go-round, trying to find something that works.
I hate getting the headaches whenver the blood pressure spikes up. :-(

My mother had high blood pressure but as I recall, it wasn't hard to
control, and my father didn't have high blood pressure but extremely low
blood pressure. So I'm wondering if it's the CP that's a factor here as
well as heredity.
