8:45-11:30 A.M. Children's program (ages 5-12)
9:00-9:40 A.M. "In the Kitchen with Anna" Professional chef and celiac-
Anna Sobasky will demonstrate making GF pizza crust, quiche/pot pie
crust and other topics.
9:45-10:45 "Gluten- free Diet" by Bev Clearman, dietitian, Celiac clinic
at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinic.
10:45-11:30 A.M."How to Know your Prescriptions are Gluten-free" by Mike
Stein, pharmacist at Nucara Pharmacy.
11:30-1:15 Noon meal*
1:15-2:15 AM. Medical information and update on Celiac Disease by Dr.
David Elliott
M.D., Director of Celiac Clinic, University of Iowa Hospital and Clinic.
1:00 P.M. Movie for Children
2:20 -3:20 P.M. Discussion Groups: Parent help- "Raising you Celiac
Child" or Celiac Adults and their concerns.
*Noon meal: ham or roast beef, mashed or baked potatoes, green beans,
corn and salad. You may bring a GF dessert to share with recipe.
Drinks and table service provided.
Advance Registration is required: $16 for first family member and $6
for each additional family member. Children 12 and under free. A
donation of $2 for those in the children's program would be helpful.
Indicate choice of meat and potatoes.
