My son is on a desiccated thyroid (armour/thyroid) trial of 3 X 30 mg per
day.
His heart rate is 75 - 80 and his temp about 98 this morning after some
movement.

He still is not feeling better, in fact he is worse. He is so very tired
he can barely talk.

Can he expect unpleasant symptoms to escalate before he will feel the
benefits of the armour/thyroid, or perhaps he just does not need it.

Three weeks seems like a reasonable of time to wait for relief, but if
nothing happens is it time to up the dosage by 30 mg again.

Is it true labs have different normal range interpretations? Does this make
sense?

His tests came back showing

T3 1.93 range .92 - 3.79
T4 14.0 range 9.2 - 23.8
TSH 1.05 range .32 - 5.0

Colleen
