Mobile Celerons differ from Desktop ones in power dissipation only (as

Slower/faster are subjective parameters wich requires comparison.

Try SiSoftSandra 2000 (or 2001) to compare with desktops.
General: I don't know how MacOS is degraded with progs, but in the
case Win9x/or Win2k try to reinstall them (however the driver's
problem for hardware?).
