Hi Michael,

I really don't know the details of the DSP systems on the two radios. Yes,
I did have the 746. I find the 2000's DSP is just about as useful although
I liked the continuous variation available on the 746. The auto notch
systems are fairly comparable although the 2000's may be a little better. I
did like the audio DSP ability of the 746 to peak CW signals and wish the
2000 had it.

As far as the basic receivers go, I think the 2000 is far superior in noise
floor and listening comfort to the 746. It does not have twin pass band
tuning but I find the high and low cut off adjustments for the DSP are much
more useful than the pass band tuning.

I hope this is helpful to you and please write if I can help you further.
Very 73.

Kevin, K7RX :)
