This probably won't help much, but I had a light probe made by
Royal Industries for the Blind in England. It was a one piece
probe that used N. cell batteries and it had a knob on one end
that you turned to turn it on and off. I really liked it, but I
gave it away because I wasn't using it much and I found someone
who could make good use of it. I don't know if it is still
manufactured or not or who the U.S. distributer would be for it,
nor do I know the R.I.B. web site or if you can order from them
on the web if they do have a site, but it is a really nice probe.
