Well, I think I know how I did it.  I hit 4 and got into the info
channels.  For example, my weather service happens to be on 1. so I go to
channel 2, where I want the new data.  I then exit this as you normally
would.  Select the proper stuff as usual on vfo.  Then hit function key
and the c key which is the m recall key.  Works for me.
