HI folks,

i've got one of these radios. ITs lithium backup battery has been
replaced but still no dice.

I'm running it off a gel cell floated from a power supply here in the
shack. WHen they replaced the lithium battery they messed up the
faceplate, so it's a little more difficult to deal with, but once you
get memories programmed by using a stylus on the appropriate button
you can set memories for local repeaters and have things happening.

My problem: No manual, and I can't figure out how to select what
ctcss tone it's supposed to transmit. tried all sorts of key
combinations. NO "function button" as Kenwoods usually have in later
versions.

Anybody know anything about this radio can give us a hand here with
some instructions on how to set the transmit ctcss tone?
