It's a different plug all together,  you need 1 or both, I can't remember of
the pins to be a 3 conductor  either on the mic side or the speaker, i think
the mic side. has to be a 3 conductor one. An adapter would be possible, but
it would be a tricky thing to do, I tried it with another Kenwood HT I had
and it didn't work out. The mic I got for the TH-F6A is the SM-C33  I know
that's a bit pricey but well worth it that's what I have, the SM-C34, I
tried that, it's horrible, low audio both ways and it sounds really bad, I
haven't tried the SM-C32 yet, but I think I'll try it and see what I think
of it but I think the SM-C33 is the perfect match for the TH-F6A by far and
away.
