In the meantime, here's an explanation for my inquiry as some have wondered

My reply...

So you would think. Inherently, all cornmeal is GF, but processing and
packaging can introduce gluten--as I have found out.

I've been having a mild reaction to something in my diet and I've narrowed
it down to cornmeal. I can eat plain old corn, GF corn tortilla chips, etc.,
with no problem, but this cornmeal is doing me in. Because I knew cornmeal
is GF, I didn't think to check with the manufacturer before consuming it.

I also had a reaction to bulk bags of cornmeal purchased at the local health
food store. Cross contamination is a real thing I am learning.
