I just heard back from Taco Bueno as it took awhile to find hwo actually owned them. No one on the listserve seemed to know the status, but most were interested. One did mention that her husband eats there, but she feels he has reactions from it.
Taco Bueno actually talked to my husband, and though they do not add any wheat, barley, rye, malt to their meats, they do have oats in their beef. They also warned (for those who chose to keep oats in their diets) that they cannot gurantee cross contamination from their vendors. They said they people who supply their oats may also do wheat products. So you can stick with their chicken, beans, sides and all but the flour toritilla's and beef for those that do not do oatmeal.
Cheese nacho's are my daughters favorite anyway. Also, though historically before diagnosis I didn't feel like I had reactions, I have cheated on purpose to see if I would feel it, and I did, I did eat Bueno while in Tulsa on my last visit. I had not heard back from Bueno and took the chance and didn't feel sick at all. I did eat regular taco's with beef.

Katie
