I have an almost 3 yr. old who was diagnosed with celiac disease one year ago. She has been gluten free for a year as well. At her six month checkup, she had the Celiac Panel repeated and the results came back normal!!! = ) However . . .before her diagnosis, her abdomen was so distended that she looked pregnant; immediately after going on a gf diet, it went down to pretty much normal; and a few months after that it seemed to be distended again. Her pediatric gastroenterologist was not concerned, but I still don't think it's normal. Has anyone had a similar experience? Could it be from something else, like lactose or sucrose?? Thanks in advance!
