Disability and Secondary Conditions (Chapter 6)

Healthy People 2010 Chapter 6 (Disability and Secondary Conditions)
National Forum.  September 20-21, 2002.

This Forum is the outgrowth of a six-year effort to develop a national
agenda for improving the health and well-being of people with
disabilities. The purpose of this forum is to identify:

1. A network of partners who have continuing interest and commitment to
improving the health of people with disabilities;

2. Specific activities that partners will implement to achieve HP2010
objectives targeting people with disabilities; and

3. Areas that currently lack sufficient activity to achieve those
objectives.

The HP2010 Chapter 6 National Forum will be held at the Hyatt Regency,
Atlanta, Georgia. Hosted by the Disability and Health Team of the
National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities, CDC.
This national forum will present the current state of knowledge and
identify commitments to strategies to achieve the Healthy People 2010
health promotion and community integration objectives for people with
disabilities.
