If it is a network startup menu then right click on Network neighborhood and
click on Properties.On Configuration Tab you will see a scroll box named
Primary network logon, click on it and choose Windows logon.
If it is a common windows startup menu then go to Control Panel\Users,
delete the added user. Don't forget to leave the user created documents.

I have a Compaq Deskpro Pentium intel inside, Windows 98. When I boot the
system the sart up menu comes up every time, then it has a box to use a
password and I need to remove it to. Can you please tell me how to keep
these from coming up every time I boot the system? Thank You
