Something is not going well in my system. Now my digital camera software
has gone KAPUT. I can add the camera in devices, and the device manager
says that it is working fine. However, the camera does not show up in
any applications as a source - my scanner does. I have removed and
reinstalled the camera driver numerous times with no luck. When I
install the driver, a window pops up asking me what applications to
start it with, but there is no listing of applications - there used to
be. The WIA (Windows Image Acquisition) service is running - my scanner
works fine. The camera driver is WIA compliant.

I am about to re-install XP from scratch but would appreciate any input
from others that may have run into this.
