I started Cordain's Paleo Diet about 3 weeks ago. I've lost 17 lbs., and
feel amazing: lots of energy, never feel overstuffed after eating, no carb
cravings (I haven't cheated once! and I am surrounded by pizza, pasta and
sugary desserts)
I am not very strict when it comes to fruits and veggies (I eat carrots,
squash, mangos, bananas, strawberries) I am sure if I ate lower sugar fruits
and veggies, the weight may come off faster, but I am doing this for long
term health and weight loss is a welcome side effect (I was about 30-40 lbs
overweight). I know others on this forum consume much more saturated fat and
less carb-dense fruits and veggies with great results (as per Audette:
Neanderthin), but I just follow the NO dairy, legumes, grains high sat. fat
meats and starchy tuber rule.
The archives search is a great source for specific topics or just ask here,
there are many knowledgeable people who give great advice.
