Jennifer,
Hippotherapy helps people with CP with balance, posture, self-confidence, as
well as learning through feeling while riding, from the way the horse moves,
they learn the proper way to walk. It may not be possible for them to walk
like a typical kid, but they get a sense of what it feels like. I know we
used to have several teens on this list who went on to compete in equestrian
events. I personally, rode every Sunday for 3 years.
