Hey, all! Had a great conversation this evening with Gary Taubes. He has
landed a book deal and is working as we speak on turning his Science/NY
Times article into a book. I'm pleased as punch. He is fascinated by not
only the low-carb phenomenon but the Paleo angle, as well.
I was pleased to learn he appeared on the Charlie Rose show; I plan to order
it on tape! He was pitted against Dean Ornish and someone from the American
Heart Association. Taubes said he asked for decaf, please but they gave him
regular coffee instead and that, combined with Dean Ornish's illogical
low-fat blatherings, left him ready "to reach across the table and strangle
him!"
At any rate, thought you'd find interesting the media hits Gary Taubes
enjoyed in the wake of his NY Times article. If all stories listed below
are in response to this article (and I think they are, have yet to whip out
my fine-toothed comb), it came to 54 stories/appearances - I don't think
Charlie Rose subscribes to Nexis.
