Unless some one by accident walks up as he is in the act, and suprises him
and is quick enough to just take him out, the hand guns will not help with
the sniper.

That's my point, exactly, Bobby. No, it makes absolutely NO sense to buy a
handgun to defend yourself against this guy, but people are willing to buy
an inappropriate weapon simply because their comfort level is increased.
Moose said, rightly so, "We cannot protect you." So, people are going to be
grasping at whatever straw of comfort they can get their hands on.

As much as I admire and respect your opinions, Kat, I really can't fathom
how additional firearms legislation is going to help--now or in the future.
Does this man, or any criminal for that matter, give a damn about THE LAW?
Especially when the laws already on the books are unenforced, under-enforced
or plea-bargained into impotence. I know it's an old wheeze, but there's
truth in the saying that "when you outlaw guns, only outlaws will have
guns"--at least in our American culture.

Not sure why there's interest in Memphis, Bobby, but I've heard the same.

-Kyle

I saw a story on the news that handgun sales are up in the DC metro
area.
That makes no sense whatever considering the way this guy works. BTW there
is
something going on here in Memphis on terrorism or something. Many of the
former FBI profilers are here. I need to call my former student, the Police
Director, and find out what's going on.
