Dear All

I'm interested to find out the effects of a wrong dosage of radioactive
iodine on a person whit hyper-thyroid condition.  My wife was given 30mg of
the radioactive iodine instead of 10mg as prescribed by the doctor.  Anyone
knows what would be the sympton - long term and short-term effects - of such
an overdose?

The doctors are flushing out the excess radioactive iodine thru IV and a
course of normal iodine.

Please advise urgently!
