Good morning all,

Not a very pleasant topic, but one which concerns me this morning. I was on
vacation in Florida and in spite of trying to be diligent, gluten did get
into me. I
ate out in several restaurants and had a great time, but now that I am home I
have
all the typical signs of gluten ingestion: the rash, the bloating, the
diarreah, the
headache, and now something new which I haven't seen since diagnosis two
years ago. I feel a strong urge to pass gas and what does pass (quite
explosively!) is clear mucus.

I have taken my usual remedies and nothing helps. I am now back on a very
restricted elimination eating plan to stablize myself. I find that in
general I do very well on either a Fat Flush Plan diet (very comfortable for
me and I did lose weight and feel better), or Weight Watchers without the
grains. I will slowly work my way back to either or those. I was doing so
well until this happened. I am sure it was because of a Chinese restaurant
we ate in. I ordered a steamed dish and took my own wheat free soy sauce in,
but I guess the utensils were to blame, or whatever. I just wanted to have
some nice meals out with friends and be "normal" for a change.

In the meantime, any suggestions for dealing with explosions of this nature?
Thanks for the help.
