I just installed an Intel D845GEBV2 motherboard with a Pentium 4 2.0A
processor. I am having a problem with the PCI System Management Bus driver.
It is showing with a yellow exclamation in Device Manger along with another
Unknown device. When I run the Intel chipset software included on the CD
with the motherboard, the install fails. The Intel site states that Windows
98 version 4.10.2222 is required. I am running 4.10.1998.
My question is what do I have to do to get this device driver to load? Is
there an existing driver that will load under the O/S I am running, or do I
have to upgrade my O/S to 4.10.2222 (and if so, what is the least costly
method)?
Otherwise, the system is running fine.
