A few things to help bacterial infections. Drink lots of
tea, green or black. This ties up free iron so the bacteria
can't grow. If you are taking a supplement with iron, stop
until you are better.

Go low carb, bacteria need sugar to grow, they get it from
your blood. Get your calories from fat.

Could be, but it is fall pollen season too, it adds up.
Before I went low carb I couldn't hang laundry or blankets
outside to sun in some seasons, had to dry them in the
house. I got terrible sinus trouble every night. After low
carb, and especially after a while on Paleo, it went away
and has not given me much trouble at all. Low carb was a
wonderful gift! I could sleep all night with no dry mouth
from mouth breathing, no tissues, no drugs.

One thing, I noticed a lot less allergy trouble, even when
not eating right, when I am exercising heavily. Seems like
an immunization for the day. Days when I did not exercise
were always much worse.

One small trick. If your nose is running or plugged when you
go to bed, sleep flat on your back with your head tilted
back, pillow under the neck, so your nose points straight
up. It really helps clear out the sinuses so you can sleep.
I don't usually like to sleep like this, but sometimes it is
the only way.

I like the sour/bitter ones. When I have a cold I drink
strong black tea with bitter orange, lemon, rose hips or
hibiscus in it. Really strong! I don't know if it helps, but
I imagine it does. ;-)

 I have been drinking

Go easy on chamomile, it has a few side effects. It can make
you very light sensitive, sunburn easily. I like it too, but
don't drink it much except in winter.

Me too. I would like any other suggestions too.
