There has been some discussion about VOIP versus standard, landline
telephone service on this list lately.

Two concerns that I have about this kind of service are (1) 911 service not
being able to tell where you are, if and when you call, and (2) the loss of
free 411 (Directory Assistance) service to those who are blind or
visually-impaired.
