Morning all,
Many times lately, Jaws will shut down and I have to re-boot the computer. I
try to figure out why by going into the scan disc file, and also to the
Faultlog in Windows. I get the following scan disc file repeated many times.
Using Win/98 SE, Jaws 5.0844 with a 256 MB Ram.
Microsoft ScanDisk
Log file generated at 11:38AM on Sunday, July 04, 2004.
ScanDisk checked drive C for problems, with the following results:
Directory structure
Directory entry
C:\WINDOWS\APPLIC~1\IDENTI~1\{C2960~1\MICROS~1\OUTLOO~1\CLEANUP.LOG
had
an incorrect size.
ScanDisk successfully corrected the directory entry.
File allocation table
ScanDisk did not find any problems.
File system
The free space was being reported incorrectly.
ScanDisk successfully fixed the free space count.
Surface scan
ScanDisk did not perform any tests.
Could someone tell me why this error comes up many times, and what I may do
to change this problem?
The hard drive has been re-formated and is very clean on a 2.2 GB processor.
The file in particular the scan disc is always repairing only has 46KB of
stuff.
This is getting really frustrating and sure could use some suggestions.
I think I need a Windows guru?
Thanks,
Morey
