**Conference Booking Opens
We are pleased to announce that booking for Techshare 2003 is now open at
the early bird rate until Oct 1. Book now to secure your place. Cost: Two

**Techshare Pre-Conference Workshops - 19 November, RNIB Conference Centre,
Birmingham 10.00 - 16.00

This year we are pleased to be able to offer two full day pre-conference
workshops on 19 November. This is in response to feedback from Techshare
delegates. You have the opportunity to choose between two very different
workshops and spend the whole day getting to grips with website
accessibility or Linux.

The choice of workshops are:

* Does this website work? presented by Donna Smillie, Best Practice Officer
(Accessible Websites), RNIB
* Linux Accessibility Step-by-Step presented by Janina Sajka, Director -
Technology Research and Development, American Foundation for the Blind, USA

These workshops are charged separately from the conference and are only
available to Techshare delegates. You can book your place at a
pre-conference workshop on the Techshare booking form. The cost for a day
workshop is: Early Bird -  £120 After 1 Oct - £150.

**Key speakers for Techshare 2003

The Techshare Team is pleased to announce the following key speakers for
Techshare 2003:

Madelyn Bryant McIntire is Director of the Accessible Technology Group at
Microsoft. As the director she runs the team of forty people that is the
central resource at Microsoft for driving forward the corporation's
commitments to create products that work for all people, including people
with disabilities.

Brian Charlson is First Vice President, American Council of the Blind (ACB)
and Director of the Computer Training Services programme at the Carroll
Center for the Blind. Brian is a pioneering educator in the field of
adaptive technology for blind adults and children and a leading figure in
the US disability advocacy community.

Rob Lees is a Technology Executive for Vodafone Global Products and
Services. In this role he is responsible for the integration of complex
technologies in the fast moving world of mobile telecommunications. Vodafone
and RNIB are working in partnership to improve the accessibility of mobile
communication equipment and services.

**Submit your paper - Closing date approaching

Just a reminder for those of you who are interested in submitting a paper
for this year's Techshare. The deadline is fast approaching. Get your paper
to us by 31 July.
