Hi, Everett,
One of the best places online where you can go to get a good list by
category of products for the blind is a website set up in cooperation with
the RNIB in London. Text-based pages are organized by categories such as:
braille writing machines, slates and what the Brits call "styles" and North
Americans call styli, timekeeping, CCTV magnifiers, mobility aids, canes,
etc., etc.

The site is named after the blind prophet in Homer's epics, Iliad, and
Odyssey, who's name was, Tiresius. So the URL to which you'll point your
browser is:

http://www.tiresius.org/

There are articles, international conference reports, listings of products
by category with descriptions, prices, and manufacturers' and distributors'
names and contact information. This is a must-have resource for anybody who
works with blind people, or anybody who has any interest in products,
services, and research marketed to, and aimed at, blind people.
