Hi Everett,

If you get some valuable responses to your question about Assistive
Technology for people who are blind or visually impaired, I would love to
know about them. I am always looking for new sources. I work at the
Library for the Blind in Suffolk County, NY. We have many different types
of AT and we do demonstrations of these devices. We are continuously on the
hunt for sources of this equipment and new devices on the market.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Valerie Lewis

Subject: Listings of Assistive Tech f/t Blind?

Hi All,

Does anyone know of a general list where there is listed all, or a majority
of, assistive tech for the blind? Anything from software, to notebooks, to
CCTV's and stand-alone readers, etc. I'm looking for short
lists/cheat-sheet type lists, of equipment for the blind. Anyone know of
any out there?

Online directories would be great, but even a list of named equipment
without the manufacturer or sellers link is fine. I'm just trying to get a
round-up of all possible equipment available to the blind. Please reply
offlist, to me at the e-mail address in my Sig line below. Thanks!

Thanks Again,
Everett
