Hi folks,
Harry here with a heck of a problem.
Here's what is happening. I saw that I had 2 copies of a program on my system, the current version which I'm using, and the old version of it. So, I went and uninstalled the old version and sent it to the recycle bin and then emptyed the recycle bin. So, I thought everything's fine, right? Wrong, it wasn't fine at all. I rebooted the computer and my current version of the program didn't come up after windows loaded, so I went to the desk top, and typed controll alt v and instead of the program coming up and starting that way like it normally does, I get this message. "shortcut problems dialogue, this shortcut could not be used be used for vip2.exe
the closest match to it is c:\schwin32.exe, do you want to match this shortcut with the address yes or no?"
Now, the vip2.exe is the old version which I sent to the recycle bin and got rid of, so I now just have hopefully, version 3.03. So what do I do? Do I uninstall vip again? That's the program I'm talking about, vip. Or, do I go and click on vip and then go to properties and make a hot key for it using ctrlaltv or what do I do? I need this program to read with and do word processing with.
thanks for any help anyone can give,
Harry
