Hi folks,
Wanted to get this to as many as possible.
Harry here, with 2 questions.
1. How can I get scan disk so it doesn't come on automatically on startup? I went to scan disk, pressed shift+f10 then went to properties and pressed enter, and I couldn't find a box to check so, what do I do from here?
2. I'm considering spending a bunch of money to get a pentium 4 2.8 gig system. I have a friend who bought a system with a 7200 RPM hard drive, and he said it only takes his system 10 seconds to boot up and it's ready to go. That's what I want from a system, the shortest bootup time I can get. I'm using a pentium 2 266 machine right now running windows 98SE, and 256 meg of ram.
So, if someone knows if I can shorten up bootup time, how do I do it on this machine step by step please, and is it worth getting a p4 2.8 gig system with 1 gig of ram to get the shorter bootup time?
thanks for any help,
Harry
